NVIDIA Announces Expanded NVIDIA Reflex Ecosystem at CES 2023 > News

news body

NVIDIA (CEO Jensen Huang), a leader in AI computing technology, unveiled the newly expanded NVIDIA Reflex ecosystem at CES 2023. Reflex has been further expanded with new supported games and 1440p 360Hz displays with Reflex Analyzer.

Nvidia Reflex reduces system latency to increase responsiveness. This improves competitiveness in multiplayer and responsiveness in singleplayer.

Nvidia Reflex now available in more games

NVIDIA Reflex supports over 50 of the games on the market, giving GeForce players the most responsive gaming experience on the platform with up to 50 percent reduced system latency. In addition, Recreate Games and Source Technology’s highly anticipated Party Animals is coming to NVIDIA Reflex. This allows players to compete with friends using fluffy animal characters such as dogs and cats with improved responsiveness.

In addition, reflexes are supported in more blockbuster games.

● Jurassic World Evolution 2: Up to 28% reduction in system latency

● Portal with RTX: System latency reduced by up to 33%

● The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Reduced system latency by up to 43%

● Warhammer 40K: Darktide (Warhammer 40,000: Darktide): System latency reduced by up to 44%

You can reduce system latency by going into the video options in each title and enabling Nvidia Reflex. If you want even lower latency than this, select “On + Boost” to further reduce system latency by optimizing other parts of the system.

1440p, the new standard for competition

GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs support 1440p gaming at ultra-fast FPS, providing the responsiveness and accuracy players demand. Gamers can enjoy gaming at 1440p without sacrificing performance through the next-generation 1440p 360Hz G-SYNC with reflex display. 1440p gaming on the RTX 40 series delivers improved image fidelity and motion clarity without sacrificing playback speed or responsiveness.

At 1440p, you can enjoy competitive play at a much higher level than at 1080p.

Enhanced esports image quality

The key to Esports Image Quality is not simply lowering the resolution setting, but creating a clear image while minimizing distractions. In a battle royale game like Apex Legends, 1080p has a lower resolution and smaller screen size, so it can be difficult to find distant targets. At 1080p, targets appear aliased or pixelated, making it difficult to aim. By upping the output resolution to 1440p, gamers can more easily identify and attack enemies with improved clarity and visibility.

More Accurate Aiming at 1440p

Earlier this year, scientists at Nvidia’s Esports Research lab studied the aiming performance of a 1080p 25″ versus a 1440p 27″ once morest small targets. As a result, aiming performance improved by 3% at 1440p.

For a player, a 3% improvement in aim can make a huge difference that might make the difference between winning and losing. You can see how significant this difference is when you consider that the difference in win rate between the highest win rate and the lowest win rate of all agent characters in Valorant is regarding 4%.

Low latency equal to 1080p

GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs are often fast enough to hit the built-in FPS limits of competitive games, even at 1440p. In games like Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six Siege and Valorant, the total end-to-end system latency of 1440p is equivalent to 1080p. As a result, gamers can enjoy 1440p picture quality without the latency tradeoff.

The display latency between 1440p and 1080p at 360Hz is the same. So, if your system can support high frame rates, you can enjoy 1440p at the same speed as 1080p.

New 1440p 360Hz display launched

1440p 360Hz with eSports support has become the new standard for competitive gaming displays. This includes Nvidia Reflex, a dual-driver IPS panel, a basic G-sync module, G-sync eSports mode latency optimization, and an optional Ultra Low Motion Blur mode. The previously announced ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQN has been released.

At CES, NVIDIA announced two new 1440p 360Hz eSports displays: the Acer Predator XB273U F and the upcoming AOC AGON PRO AG276QSG.
