The governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, confirmed that the property of Gulf nationals, specifically Kuwaitis, in the province is preserved.
Al-Eidani said, in an interview with Al-Sumaria News, that “the properties of the Gulf nationals and Kuwaiti brothers in particular are preserved and are located in the Land Registry Department, the Land Registry.”
He added that “the Kuwaiti consulate in Basra has a complete idea of the issue,” noting that “some properties were seized at some point, but their papers were not tampered with because they were preserved and returned to their families.”
