Al-Sudani directs to determine the necessary priorities of services and infrastructure for the city of Kadhimiya

Baghdad / Obelisk: Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani received, on Saturday 01/07/2023, a delegation from the people and notables of the holy city of Kadhimiya, in the presence of former Deputy Prime Minister Bahaa al-Araji.

Al-Sudani, according to the government statement received by Al-Obelisk, listened to a presentation from the delegation that included the most prominent service obstacles and needs in the field of infrastructure that the city suffers from, and the consequent effects on its religious and cultural center, in addition to being a destination for visitors to the holy Kazimiyya shrine, and the shrine of the two Kazimian Imams. Peace be upon them.

Al-Sudani directed the formation of a committee headed by the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, and the concerned departments, to meet with the people of the city and determine the necessary priorities of municipal services and required infrastructure, and provide appropriate solutions to its most important problems.

Al-Sudani promised to visit the holy Kadhimiya as soon as possible, and to see closely its basic requirements.

The delegation of the people of Kadhimiya expressed their appreciation for the Prime Minister’s interest in the city, and the religious and heritage significance it bears. They also expressed their high evaluation of the rehabilitation and urgent reconstruction campaign that he directed for the Kadhimiya Teaching Hospital, and its opening to operate in all its departments, wards and health services.
