Jeddah: Saudi Arabia announced that it will not allow the sale of alcohol in duty-free shops. Saudi said the decision is in line with the rules and requirements for setting up duty-free shops.
The cabinet meeting had decided to set up duty free shops as per requirement for those entering and exiting the country through air, sea and land gates. Then the necessary rules and regulations were formulated. Duty free shops operate in the passenger hall of the departure terminal at Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Madinah airports. Products that are allowed to be sold in the country can be sold through duty free shops.
