BEIJING, January 7 / WAM / China’s foreign exchange reserves rose to $3.128 trillion last December, compared to
$3.117 trillion in November 2022.
China’s National Foreign Exchange Commission, which issued the data, attributed the increase in foreign exchange reserves to the combined effect of currency conversion and changes in asset prices, and expected China’s foreign exchange reserves to remain generally stable.
The value of China’s gold reserves rose to $117.24 billion at the end of December, from $111.65 billion at the end of November.
