For its part, “Wafi”, which is the authority authorized to issue licenses for the sale of real estate units off-plan in Saudi Arabia, and is affiliated with the Saudi Ministry of Housing, said that it “is carefully following all projects licensed by it to ensure the safety of rain and torrential drainage in it.”
And she explained in a tweet via Twitter that she “monitored damage to one of the neighborhoods in the East Gate project,” noting that she “formed a specialized team to urgently stop the site and deal with the rain drainage.”

She added that concerned authorities began withdrawing “the rainwater pools at the site.”
