Against the background of the invasion of Russia, Ukraine rose to 15th place in the ranking of the most powerful armies in the world. A year ago, it was ranked number 22.
This is demonstrated by the rating carried out by the international company Global Firepower, which annually compiles the rating of the best armed forces in the world.
For its part, Russia maintained second place in that ranking, although “the war demonstrated the limitations of the military potential” of Vladimir Putin, despite his “material and troop superiority over Ukraine.”
