[앵커]

Today, it’s the weekend, fine dust and even yellow dust are an emergency.

With the exception of Yeongdong, emergency fine dust reduction measures have been issued nationwide, and the air quality is very bad until tomorrow.

Let’s find out more regarding the weather with caster Yu Da-hyun of the weather team. hello,

[캐스터]

Yes, fine dust is a problem these days.

But today, the situation seems to be very serious as yellow dust is added to smog from China.

Yellow dust is already appearing in western regions such as Daejeon and Gwangju.

As the situation seems to be very bad, emergency fine dust reduction measures are being implemented nationwide from 6 am today, except for Yeongdong.

When is the fine dust emergency reduction measure issued?

When high-concentration fine dust continues for a long time, it is conducted to reduce fine dust in a short period of time.

It runs until 9pm today.

Businesses that emit large amounts of fine dust must change their operating hours and adjust their operation rates.

Because it is a holiday, there is no restriction on the operation of diesel vehicles with a level 5 emission level.

Let’s take a look at the current high-concentration fine dust situation.

Currently, it is ‘bad’ nationwide except for Jeju Island.

In particular, Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Jeonbuk have soared to the ‘very bad’ level.

Currently, the high concentration of fine dust in Seoul is 105 micrograms per hour, three to four times higher than usual.

In particular, Chungcheongnam-do soared to 174 micrograms, showing a level six times higher than usual.

Ultrafine dust advisories have been issued in most provinces across the country, except for Gangwon-do and Jeju-do.

An ultrafine dust warning is in effect in southern Gyeonggi and parts of Chungnam.

Today, with the addition of yellow dust to smog from China, the air quality across the country is expected to soar to ‘poor’, especially in the metropolitan area, Chungcheong, Honam, Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island to ‘very bad’.

If possible, refrain from going out today, and if you do go out, be sure to wear a fine dust mask of at least KF80.

Please join us in reducing fine dust by using public transportation.

Let’s find out regarding the news of the snow.

It snowed and rained overnight, has it all stopped now?

[캐스터]

Yes, it has snowed or rained here and there since last night.

Seoul once had heavy snow.

From yesterday until now, 15 centimeters of snow fell in Dongsong, Cheorwon, Gangwon-do.

9 centimeters of snow fell in Cheongun, Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do, and 2.2 centimeters in Seoul.

Snow and rain are almost gone.

There will be places where there will be snow blowing or raindrops falling all over the place until the day.

The East Coast is still dry, so you need to be careful with fire.

Strong winds are blowing in the west coast south of Chungcheong and Jeju Island.

Strong winds are expected as small typhoons.

Please pay attention to facility management and safety accidents.

What will the weather be like tomorrow, a holiday?

[캐스터]

Yes, the fine dust continues even tomorrow, which is a holiday.

This is because the air is stagnant, causing fine dust to accumulate and yellow dust to flow in.

Tomorrow, too, most of the country is bad, especially the metropolitan area, Chungcheong, Jeonbuk, and Yeongnam are temporarily expected to have a ‘very bad’ level in the morning.

It would be good for children and the elderly to refrain from going out tomorrow as well.

With a mild westerly wind blowing, tomorrow will be even milder than usual.

Tomorrow morning in Seoul, the temperature will be -4 degrees lower than today, but the daytime temperature will be 5 degrees, regarding 2-3 degrees higher than the average year.

[앵커]

What will the weather be like next week?

[캐스터]

Yes, January is the month with the strongest cold, but there will be no major cold for the time being.

But fine dust is the key.

Let’s take a look at the detailed weather forecast for next week.

Usually at this time of year, the morning temperature in Seoul is minus 6 degrees and the daytime temperature is 2 degrees.

Temperatures will be higher than usual throughout the next week.

It’s good not to worry regarding the cold, but fine dust can affect it, so it’s better to keep checking the fine dust information.
