León, Guanajuato.- Guided by the motto “We are Mountain”, the “Ingravitto Run” hiking and mountaineering club presented the series of medium and high mountain ascents to be completed in the first semester of 2023. Guanajuato and its hills will be part of the route to overcome.

For this hiking and mountaineering organization, the 2023 calendar is divided into two categories, the first is the mid-mountain in which tours are made to peaks less than 4,000 meters above sea level.. The ascent is not that complicated since it follows dirt paths and easily accessible terrain, so it does not require as much support equipment to climb.
The other category is the high mountain where expeditions are made to hills and mountains whose summit is higher than 4,000 meters above sea level, so the journey can take more than two days, In addition to requiring special equipment such as thermal clothing, canes, helmet, lamp, safety first aid kit, among other accessories.
In order to promote physical activation and sports tourism, Ingravitto Run presented its 2023 calendar in which Guanajuato receives four mid-mountain ascents. The serial begins between January 28 and 29 with an ascent to Cerro El Tzirate in Michoacán.
Then Guanajuato receives the following routes, the first being on February 11 through Cerro de la Bufa, for March 18 León continues with Cerro del Gigante, Silao continues on April 1 with a route through Cerro El Cubilete and for the May 6 ends the half-mountain with Cerro El Culiacán, which is located between the municipalities of Celaya, Cortazar, Jaral del Progreso and Salvatierra.
CHALLENGE
For Ingravitto Run and its members, the mid-mountain programming results from training since it alternates with high-mountain ascents that will be carried out in orographic areas of other entities.
The first test in this modality is the Nevado de Colima on February 25 and 26, then on March 25 and 26 the inactive La Malinche volcano in Tlaxcala is scheduled. For April 22 and 23 there is an expedition to Nevado de Toluca and to close the semester they travel to Puebla to conquer Iztaccíhuatl between May 27 and 29.
