Lenovo introduced the first smartphone of the ThinkPhone family to the general public. The device was created jointly with Motorola and is positioned as a companion for ThinkPad laptops in the corporate segment. Retail sales of new items will begin later this year.

The ThinkPhone is equipped with a 6.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. HDR10+ video playback is supported. The display is protected from mechanical damage by Gorilla Glass Victus.
The body of the device is made in accordance with international standards IP68 and MIL-STD-810H. This means that the smartphone is not afraid of falling from a height of up to 1.25 meters and immersion in water to a depth of 1.5 m for 30 minutes. There is a hole at the top of the display that houses a 32-megapixel front camera with autofocus support.
The main camera is placed in a rectangular block and is located on the back of the case. It is made up of a 50-megapixel sensor that combines four pixels into one to produce 2.0µm pixels, a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The hardware basis of the novelty was the eight-core microprocessor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (one Cortex-X2 core with a frequency of 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores with a frequency of 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores with a frequency of 1.8 GHz). The configuration is complemented by 8 or 12 GB of RAM and a drive of 128, 256 or 512 GB. Autonomous operation is provided by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh with support for wired charging up to 68 W and wireless charging up to 15 W.
The ThinkPhone will ship with Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Teams apps preinstalled. The ability to sync with ThinkPad laptops over Wi-Fi is supported, so that the user can use the shared clipboard to move files between devices.
Orientation to the corporate segment is emphasized by the presence of a number of security features. A separate Moto KeySafe processor allows you to store PINs, passwords, cryptographic keys and other sensitive data in a tamper-proof environment. Implemented support for Moto OEMConfig and Moto Device Manager, which will allow corporate IT administrators to remotely configure user devices. The Motorola Ready For function is supported, which allows you to turn your smartphone into a desktop computer by connecting a monitor, keyboard and mouse.
The price of the ThinkPhone has not been announced. Retail sales of the smartphone should begin in the coming months, but we can hardly expect it to appear in regular stores.
