AS Monaco completed the sale of Benot Badiashile for €40m this winter. In a few months, it’s another central defender, Axel Disasi, who might bring another big check to the Principality club.
Disasi dish a lot in Europe
AS Monaco defenders are popular. This week, the Principality club sold Benot Badiashile Chelsea in a transfer for 40 million euros (bonus included). And his now ex-teammate Axel Disasi (24) might also join the ranks of a foreign club in the near future.
It will probably not be this winter, since the ASM has no intention of losing a second incumbent in defense in the middle of the season. But a transfer from the ex-Rmois next summer seems very likely. Because several foreign teams have shown an interest and are preparing for a possible summer offensive.
Manchester United and Bayern in the ranks
In England, Manchester United is closely monitoring the Mongasque’s situation. According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils consider that a central defense recruitment will be necessary for next season. Thus, the Mancunian leaders have already established contact with their Monegasque counterparts in order to place their pawns in this dossier.
However, United are not the only Premier League club in the running as interest from Tottenham and West Ham is also mooted. But the main threat might come from Germany. Indeed, RMC claim that Bayern Munich have inquired regarding Disasi in connection with a transfer next summer.
Disasi, it’s at least 50 M€
Faced with the desire to leave Benjamin Pavard, while Matthijs de Ligt would also be thinking of leaving just a year following his arrival in Bavaria (!), the Munich leaders are anticipating recruitment in the defensive sector and are thinking of the native of Gonesse, whose profile had interested in Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
At the time, the Rocher club had claimed €50m, an amount that PSG had not wanted to pay despite the need to recruit a central defender. To afford Disasi, interested clubs will therefore have to put their hands in their pockets, especially since the player has become a French international and played in a World Cup with the Blues. If its price changes, it will therefore rather be revised upwards.
