Woman stabbed to death in the kitchen of her New York home

Lisa Epton, a 45-year-old woman, was found dead with a stab wound in the kitchen of her home in an East Harlem, Manhattan apartment complex.

NYPD responded to a 911 call at 435 East. 102nd St. around 9:45 am yesterday. Upon arrival they found Epton unconscious, lying face down on the kitchen floor, with a stab wound to her torso. Paramedics responded but were unable to save her, she reported. ABC News.

It is unclear who called 911. No arrests have been made or suspects identified. Anyone with information should call to 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) and in Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). On the eve, Wednesday night A 60-year-old woman was found dead in her Brooklyn home following her ex-husband barricaded himself and apparently made an attempt on his life using a knife.

An autopsy had yet to determine when and how the victim died. Her ex-husband was taken to Maimonides Hospital for psychological evaluation and treated for what appeared to be a minor stab wound to the chest. No charges have been announced at this time.
