The takeover of Sennheiser’s consumer audio division by the Swiss company Sonova, which specializes in hearing aids, leads to the marketing of a new product combining the specialties of the two entities.

Conversation Clear Plus, the best of Sennheiser and Sonova?

The Conversation Clear Plus take up the format of traditional headphones, offer active ambient noise reduction (ANC) with three profiles (Relax, Communication and Streaming) and carry high-performance microphones as well as Sonova technology and chip to allow people with hearing problems in noisy environments to better understand their interlocutors. Sonova’s proven technology then kicks in, allowing the level of speech enhancement and amplification of certain sounds to be adapted in real time to the user’s environment by analyzing ambient noise. The promise of Sennheiser’s Conversation Clear Plus is then to offer audible and comfortable conversations to people with hearing loss, while offering a look resembling traditional headphones.

These new Conversation Clear Plus from Sennheiser therefore represent anew proposal, between traditional headphones and hearing aids, whose design is not necessarily to the taste of all users. According to Daniel Holenstein, senior product manager at Sennheiser, the Conversation Clear Plus reflect the fast-paced lives of our customers, allowing users to follow every conversation with ease, wherever they are. And the solution seems effective since an independent study showed that 95% of users experienced a significant improvement in speech in noisy situations when using the product.
