LONDON – Brother Prince Harry has revealed that his older brother, Prince William, grabbed him by the neck and threw him to the ground during an argument. This is during the dispute over Harry’s wife Meghan in 2019. The Guardian newspaper reported that information regarding the conflict between the children of King Charles is contained in Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’, which will be released on the 10th of this month.
The incident took place at Harry’s residence in London. During the argument, William insulted Meghan and grabbed Harry by the collar and pushed him to the ground. ‘I fell into the bowl of dog food. The pot broke and cut my back. I got up from the ground and told William to get off.’ William challenged him to fight back, but Harry didn’t dare. William returned following some time and apologized to his brother. King Charles and Prince William declined to comment on the Guardian report, which cited the book excerpt.
Harry and William have been very close since their mother, Princess Diana, died in a car accident in Paris in 1997. However, when Harry married Meghan, an Afro-American and former actress, the brothers drifted apart. Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as royals in 2018, moved to California in 2020.
A recent Netflix documentary also featured the sibling rivalry. It was also reported that Harry said he was not sure he would attend King Charles’s coronation on May 3.
