Brain tumor headache – Hossam Mowafi explains his specifications

Dr. Hossam Mowafi, Professor of Critical Cases at Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine, stressed the need to visit a doctor when feeling a headache, especially if it is accompanied by some symptoms.

Mowafi said, during his hosting of the “Bab Al-Khalq” program, presented by the journalist Mahmoud Saad, that a headache might be a warning sign of a brain tumor.

The professor of critical care medicine added that headache becomes a sure sign of brain cancer, if the patient suffers from the following symptoms:

Constant forgetfulness.

– vomiting.

– Blurred eye.

According to “Healthline”, the headache of a brain tumor differs from other types of headaches, as it causes frequent awakenings from sleep and painkillers do not find any benefit in relieving it.

A brain cancer patient suffers from headaches, due to the pressure that the malignant tumor poses as it grows on brain cells, and as it grows in size, the head pain becomes excruciating and difficult to bear, according to the Mayo Clinic.
