BRUSSELS (Archyde.com) – Eurozone producer prices fell in line with expectations in November on the back of a further decline in energy costs, Eurostat data showed on Thursday.

Producer prices in the monetary bloc fell by 0.9% month on month, but maintained an increase of 27.1% over one year. In October, they fell by 2.9% over one month and decelerated to 30.8% over one year.

Economists polled by Archyde.com had forecast prices for November falling 0.9% month on month and a further slowdown in the rise to 27.5% year on year.

Excluding energy, producer prices in November rose by 0.1% over one month and by 13.1% on an annual basis.

Energy prices in the euro zone fell by 2.2% in November, following falling by 7.4% in October, but over one year, they are still up by 55.7% in November.
