In last year’s T20 Asia Cup, India and Pakistan met twice. Asian Cricket Council chief Jai Shah released the cricket calendar for the 2023-24 season. But the Asia Cup venue has not been clarified yet. Jai Shah, who also became the BCCI secretary, had stated in October last that he would not send the team there even if the lot fell to Pakistan.
BCCI demands that the tournament be shifted to a neutral venue. Pakistan has also warned that it will boycott the ODI World Cup, which will be hosted by India. Apart from the Asia Cup, 145 ODIs and T20Is will be played over two years under the Asian Cricket Council. 75 matches in 2023 and 70 matches in 2024.
