Sony announces Gran Turismo 7 on PS VR2 and a new adaptive controller

Sony was among the companies to take to the stage at CES 2023 and many were eagerly awaiting announcements from the company, especially for PS VR2.

Yes, the new version of the virtual reality headset for the PS5 is expected and Sony CEO Jim Ryan promises a new, more immersive experience for gamers.

He recalled that hit franchise games like Horizon Call of the Mountain, No Man’s Sky and Resident Evil Village will be playable with the PS VR2.

Jim Ryan also took the opportunity to announce that Beat Saber will also be launched with this new headset, but without giving a date. He also revealed that a free update will be available on February 22 for Gran Turismo 7 players.

We were also treated to a trailer that gives a short preview of the film which will be in theaters next summer.

The other big news from Sony is the upcoming birth of the Leonardo project, an adaptive controller that will provide an easier gaming experience for players with physical limitations.

Everything seems promising, while the Leonardo controller can be configured according to the needs and taste of the players. Two controllers of this type can be paired by a player, who can also use the Dual Sense if he wishes.

Finally, Sony announced that more than 30 million PS5s have been sold around the world and that it now considers that stocks are at a correct level so that players can acquire this console more easily.
