Sam Bankman-Fried, the co-founder of the bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, has, as expected, pleaded not guilty in a New York court. Bankman-Fried is accused of embezzling billions of dollars in customer deposits. They were transferred to the FTX-linked investment fund Alameda Research, which invested the money in all kinds of companies. Bankman-Fried also bought millions of dollars worth of real estate and made political donations.
