Jeremy Renner has given his fans a first sign of life following he was seriously injured in a snow shoveling accident on Sunday. The actor was clearing snow in front of his home in Washoe County, Nevada, near Lake Tahoe. A snowstorm occurred there on New Year’s Eve, leaving thousands of households without power.

He cleared the snow with a ‘Snow Cat’, a large machine on which you can move the snow while driving. Renner then lost control of the aircraft and his leg ended up under the machine. A team of rescuers took Jeremy to hospital by helicopter.

His condition is critical but stable, his spokesman has reported to American media.

Jeremy Renner still has a long rehabilitation period ahead of him. The ‘Hawkeye’ actor has to undergo a second operation for his injuries. The road to recovery will also be very long.

Renner is known for his role in ‘The Hurt Locker’, for which he received an Oscar nomination for best actor in 2010. The following year he had another chance, this time in the best supporting actor category for ‘The Town’.
