The Nuclear and Molecular Medicine Center of Entre Ríos celebrated the 100,000 patients treated

Lieutenant Governor Laura Stratta visited the Center for Nuclear and Molecular Medicine of Entre Ríos (CEMENER) as part of the celebration for the one hundred thousand patients treated since June 27, 2016, when the people who had the first five shifts entered the building of the institute marking a milestone in the history of public health in the province.

In the act, which took place this Tuesday morning, Lieutenant Governor Laura Stratta highlighted CEMENER as “a reference space for the province and the region.” She recalled the milestone that the first five patients who were treated in June 2016 meant for Entre Ríos and the subsequent signing of the service provision agreement not only for members of the social work of the province but also for all Entre Ríos . “What it means to think regarding health as a whole but also regarding accessibility,” she highlighted.

In another section of his speech he celebrated political decisions and articulated work, in a network and as a team. “If the pandemic left us something, it is that no one is saved alone. With comprehensive views and articulated work, the responses we can give are stronger and more forceful, and thus we can meet the demands of our population,” he added.

Next, he extended the greetings of Governor Gustavo Bordet, who was unable to attend the event for scheduling reasons, “but we did not want to stop being present because we consider that health is an investment, because we know the importance of the link with the university as a training and education space,” Stratta said.

In this line, he highlighted the importance of “contributing and building human capital and that knowledge is at the service of social and human development,” remarked the lieutenant governor following assessing “those who made it possible to get here.”

And he continued: “This referral center is a milestone in public health and quality care. Many people from Entre Ríos had to travel to other places to be able to receive care and some might not. For this reason, having this space, which is a reference symbol of quality health for the province and the country, is a reason to celebrate but above all to continue contributing to teamwork ”, he asserted.

Then he highlighted “the role of the municipality and the task of the social work of the people of Entre Ríos, who, by having their accounts in order, were able to make a huge investment; as well as the Government of the Province that provided the land, and the National Atomic Energy Commission that provided the equipment”.

Stratta also referred to the importance of guaranteeing rights. “When there is a State that orders its accounts, when we can sustain and promote rights, we are doing things right,” he said while expressing: “My appreciation to those who are working every day, serving and so that this place continues to be a place of reference and excellence”.

And he added: “We are here to continue accompanying the challenges that come but above all building politics and alternatives to have a healthy society and that can access the quality services it deserves.”

Before ending her speech, the lieutenant governor quoted Ramón Carrillo. She said that almost 80 years ago that great sanitarian said: “Scientific conquests on health are only useful if they are accessible to the people.” […] Medicine is not just a trade, it is a social science, a political science and an economic science, and, finally, it is also a form of culture and the most concrete expression of the degree of advancement of a Nation”.
