Aircraft manufacturer Boeing on Tuesday announced the production of 12 new CH-47F Chinook helicopters for the Egyptian Air Force.
With this contract worth $426 million, Egypt will replace its CH-47D fleet with the more modern F model, according to the statement.
The CH-47F features a fully integrated digital cockpit management system, a cockpit with a common avionics architecture system, and advanced cargo handling capabilities that complement the mission performance and handling characteristics of the aircraft, said the American aircraft manufacturer in the press release.
According to Boeing, the Chinook team currently has 19 international customers.
