Acer seems to have signed a contract with LG Display. Indeed, the Taiwanese manufacturer announces two OLED PC screens very similar to those of LG.
The move to OLED continues in the PC world. The Taiwanese manufacturer, Acer, unveils two new external screens. Both are OLED.
Before, to find an external OLED screen, you had to pay a fortune. The first OLEDs arrived on laptops, then on the first external screens. Initially in 34-inch format, later in different diagonal sizes. Here, Acer unveils two products very similar to the LG UltraGear, which means that these screens use WOLED panels from LG Display.
Either a classic format flat screen or an ultra-wide curved screen
There’s the Acer Predator X27U, a 27-inch flat screen, and the Predator X45, a 45-inch diagonal ultrawide screen curved at 800R. Both screens are in QHD definition, at 240 Hz with very low latency.
The Predator X45 and Predator X27U support 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, they are equipped with a port DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports, they are compatible with PCs and consoles, and are TÜV Rheinland EyeSafe certified. OLED panels are HDR10 compatible with a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. On the ergonomic side, they adopt an adjustable metal foot.
The prices bite with such characteristics, the Predator X45 screen will be available in the second quarter for 1,799 euros. While the Predator X27U will cost 1,099 euros.
