With 11 straight wins before playing on Monday night, the Nets were very confident. It was therefore not the arrival of the Spurs, almost red lantern of the West, which was going to scare Kevin Durant and his gang. Mission accomplished without worries (139-103), the 12th victory in a row is in the pocket for Brooklyn!

But who is going to stop these Nets?

This is the question that the NBA is asking, seeing Kyrie Irving and company string together victories, night following night.

If the level of competition was not huge on this series, it must be recognized that the overall level of play is excellent in Brooklyn, and on both sides of the field. With contributions from everyone, whether it’s the stars (KD, Kyrie) or the role players (Watanabe, Claxton), these Nets manage to win night following night by finding the flaw in the opposing game.

Not enough to tread on Monday, it was the Spurs who were visiting.

The biggest challenge of the evening was how to entertain Kylian Mbappé and Achraf Hakimi, the inseparable friends of PSG being present at the Barclays Center to watch the match in the front row. Ovation and big zoom on the menu, while enjoying the complicated shots returned by Durant and his clique.

It is Kyrie Irving who will also raise all Barclays, between his scoring at the start of the match and a putback from elsewhere.

The bench of the Nets which explodes of only one man to celebrate this action of the point guard, quite a symbol of the good form in Brooklyn. Kyrie made the crowd dream with his sweet counter-attacks and his wonderfully improvised offensive choices, then giving way to his teammates like Seth Curry to artillery and punish with pleasure.

Jacque Vaughn’s men had only one contract to fulfill, beat San Antonio and put a smile on the faces of the stars sitting in the front row.

Contract validated, while waiting for the three great challenges to come on the move: in Chicago, New Orleans, then in Miami.

Since Thanksgiving, since the return of Kyrie Irving and since the installation of Vaughn at the controls of the ship, the Nets are surfing on their best wave. Everyone takes a jail, but how long will this pleasure last? Answer in a few days, wishing good luck to the Bulls, Pelicans and the Heat.
