Shahrukh’s film ‘Pathan’ is the talk of the town even outside the country. Following the controversy and hate campaigns over Deepika’s outfit, the tickets are in high demand in foreign countries. Pathan is releasing on January 25. The film now has more hype than being a Shah Rukh film following a big break.
According to pre-release booking reports, all shows in Germany are houseful. Berlin, Essen, Damdor, Harburg, Hannover, Munich and Offendabaugh all received record bookings for the film, according to national media.
Sources close to the film said that with 22 days left for the release, the tickets are selling out in no time. ‘This trend will give a total revival to the industry. Pathan is a hot product. Reports will be similar in other countries and India,’ sources close to the film said, reports Bollywood Hankama.
At the same time, Pathan faced a backlash from the Central Censor Board. The Censor Board yesterday suggested changes in the film, including in the controversial ‘Besharam Rang’ song. The crew replied that they would soon submit a modified version of the film.
Ever since the release of the song, the Sangh Parivar has been running massive hate campaigns once morest Pathan. The orange colored bikini worn by Deepika’s character in the song has angered these people. There have been interpretations that ‘besharam rung’ means shameless color and it refers to saffron color. There were also protests in some places where Shahrukh Khan’s effigy was burnt.
