Authors still at large
Apart from the significant damage, the damage is not very heavy since the thugs took the contents of the cash drawer before being interrupted by the police. While fleeing, the gang did not hesitate to shoot at the police who responded. One of the thugs was injured and arrested by the police and taken to the hospital. According to our information, it would be a young person from Seraing.
Several neighboring police areas (Hesbaye-Ouest, Ghawa and Ans-Saint-Nicolas), as well as the federal police were called in to try to find the other perpetrators. As of this writing, they are believed to be still on the run.
The Liège public prosecutor’s office, in charge of the investigation, descended on the spot as well as the laboratory of the judicial police.
