Controversial hero referee Antonio Lahoz continues his unquenchable love for cards through Argentina’s Netherlands match at the World Cup. Lahoz took out 14 cards during the Barcelona Espanyol match in La Liga the other day. That would include two red cards. Each player of Barca and Espanyol had to leave following seeing a red card. Barca winger Jordi Albuk and Espanyol player Souza were red carded. The match was tied with both teams scoring one goal each. Lahos, whose controversial decisions have become a sequel, is now being trolled on social media.
Mateu Lahoz gave out 14 bookings, three red cards and overturned one of those sendings off during Barcelona vs. Espanyol.
He was the referee who gave out 17 yellow cards during Argentina vs. Netherlands at the World Cup.

Lahoz became the controversial hero with the quarter-final match between Argentina and the Netherlands in the Qatar World Cup. The fans saw a procession of yellow cards in the quarter. The list of cards extended from the 31st minute of the game until the end of the penalty shootout. A total of 18 yellow cards were issued to Lahos throughout the match. Two Argentine officials, eight Argentine players and seven Netherlands players saw the card. Dutch player Denzel Dumfries had to leave the field following seeing two yellow cards.
