Chelsea returned to bleeding points in the English Premier League, following falling into a 1-1 draw with its host Nottingham Forest, today, Sunday, in the eighteenth stage of the competition.
Chelsea, who beat Bournemouth in their last match in the competition, became eighth in the standings table with 25 points, a full 18 points behind their neighbor Arsenal (the leaders), noting that they achieved a single victory in their last seven matches in the championship.
On the other hand, Nottingham’s balance rose to 14 points in the eighteenth place (third from the bottom).
And at (City Ground), the first half ended with Chelsea advancing with the goal of carrying the signature of its star, Raheem Sterling, in the 16th minute, but Ivorian Serge Aurier equalized for Nottingham in the 63rd minute.
Chelsea tried to advance once more, but to no avail, to lose two valuable points in the competition struggle to be among the first four places in the local competition, which qualifies for the Champions League next season, following its chances of competing for the title diminished this season.
Chelsea are 7 points behind Manchester United, currently in fourth place.
