Four Hills Tournament: Next podium without us: Four Hills OH NÉ! | Sports

Oh no, that was nothing once more!

The second round of the Four Hills Tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ends like the start in Oberstdorf without Germans on the podium.

Karl Geiger (29) jumps to 131.5 and 131 meters and finishes eleventh. Andreas Wellinger (27), who was fourth following the first round, is still the best German in the second round, but only finishes eighth in the end.

Four Hills OH NÉ!

In Garmisch-Partenkirchen, as in Oberstdorf, Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud (26) is laughing at the top. He then sits in the snow and makes the meditation cheers of football star and compatriot Erling Haaland (formerly Borussia Dortmund).

The Slovenian Anže Lanišek (26) and Dawid Kubacki (32/Poland) land on the podium behind the Norwegian.

Geiger: “It goes forward and sometimes a step back.”

And the other Germans?

Constantin Schmid (23) was 23rd overall with 133 meters in the second round. But he wasn’t at all satisfied with his first jump.

Markus Eisenbichler (31) was already kicked out in the first round as in Oberstdorf. He lost in the German-German duel with Pius Paschke (32).

Eisenbichler was still more confident than in Oberstdorf: “It was a bit more difficult. The wind pulls from right to left. I’ve failed. I won’t let myself be dragged down there because I also showed good jumps here. I will continue to do that in Innsbruck.”
