We ended 2022 with different rumours: no new Switch with the new Zelda (see here) most a new console model (with beautiful golden Joy-Con – see here) et the return of Metroid Prime shortly (see here). We start 2023 with another rumor. It is NateTheHate, a regular in rumors, who drew the first one. In a conversation regarding the RestEra forum regarding the return of Metroid PrimeNate indeed launched that “ time to F-ZERO would come in 2023“. As a reminder, F-ZERO is a futuristic racing game series born on Super Nintendo in 1990. It is a series often requested by the fans even if one cannot say that until now its audience was very “general public”. Besides, if we except the little game of Nintendo Land, the license has not been used since 2004 and the release of two episodes on GBA. Obviously, at this stage it is difficult to decide, especially since it is starting to do a lot for 2023 (between Fire Emblem, Kirby, Pikmin, Zelda, Metroid, F-Zero…) but obviously, we note that and we will see if it will materialize or not during the year… About the return of Metroid Prime, NateTheHate affirm that Retro Studios finished working on the remaster at the end of summer 2021. It still had to be tested, localized, etc… However, it is a priori ready to be released for a long time but for X reasons, Nintendo decided to keep it under the elbow (perhaps so that its release is not too far from that of the other opuses and Metroid Prime 4.) The same thing would have happened to Fire Emblem Engage whose development would have ended, also in 2021 and which finally comes out January 20, 2023. So, ready for Metroid Prime et F-Zero in 2023 ? Do not hesitate to tell us in comments.
We take the opportunity of this first news to reiterate our wishes for 2023 (which you can also find ICI.) Happy New Year everyone !
