The active substance is given as an injection under the skin.

Another case similar to that of Mighty and Hannah is that of the Brazilian tiktoker Jéssica Ribeiro, who started this weight loss journey with Ozempic in May 2021 with medical monitoring.

What is Ozempic?

Ozempic semaglutide, indicated to treat type 2 diabetes, is a liquid solution that is administered as an injection under the skin, stomach, leg or arm, once a week, and that together with an exercise routine and healthy diet can Help lose weight very quickly.

Ozempic lowers blood sugar levels and regulates insulin, which is vital for people with type 2 diabetes.

Ozempic in Venezuela

This medicine is not available in the main public and private pharmaceutical chains in Venezuela, although it can be seen for sale in some clinics, social networks and electronic stores.

The price of a box of Ozempic, which varies between 0.25mg, 0.05mg, 1mg and 2mg, ranges from $180 to $300 in the country.

A person with obesity prone to diabetes will need a treatment of at least five months to reach a healthy weight, and for this they will need at least
five boxes.

The starting dose is 0.25 milligrams once a week. After 4 weeks, the dose should be increased to 0.5 mg once a week.

After at least 4 weeks with a dose of 0.5 mg once weekly, this can be increased to 1 mg once weekly to further improve glycemic control.
