Chihuahua, Chih.- The Regulatory Center for Medical Emergencies of the Ministry of Health, reported this followingnoon that as a result of the accident of a passenger bus of the Tiza Tours line in the Libramiento Oriente, seven passengers died at the scene of the incident, while 36 more received care and were transferred to different hospitals in the capital.
Of these 36 people, including minors, two of them had no apparent injuries, while the others had to be treated for polycontusion injuries, fracture, sprain, head trauma, and contusion.
Currently, passengers are cared for through the General Hospital, the Central University Hospital and the Specialty Children’s Hospital, belonging to the Ministry of Health, as well as in the hospitals of the Mexican Institute of Social Security and ISSSTE, the agency reported.
It was previously reported that the number of passengers who lost their lives amounted to a total of 8. It should be noted that the bus left Veracruz for Ciudad Juárez, however the apparent speeding was the main cause of the fatal accident.
