The AMMC publishes half-yearly indicators for OPCIs

Casablanca – The Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) has just published a report on half-yearly indicators relating to Real Estate Collective Investment Schemes (OPCI) for the first half of 2022.

In this report, the Autorité presents in the first part the key figures for the first half of 2022 (H1-2022) and in the second part, the indicators of OPCI activity.

The net assets of OPCIs reached more than 27.99 billion dirhams (MMDH) for H1-2022, according to this document, which reports a number of real estate assets held of 610.

The value of these real estate assets held by these OPCIs reached 26.33 billion dirhams, adds the same source, specifying that these are 27 OPCIs managed by 9 management companies.

The breakdown of net assets by investment strategy adopted by the OPCIs shows that 6 specialized OPCIs representing a share of 79.6% and 21 diversified OPCIs representing 20.4%.

By type of real estate assets held, the AMMC points out that for all the OPCIs managed, buildings for teaching or training use represent 52.8%, offices 19.4%, buildings for administrative use 19 .2%, in addition to commercial premises (+3.7%), assets for residential use (+0.3%) and industrial units (+0.2%).
