Alaa Mubarak, the son of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, entered the battle line of the “drumpers” between the journalist Amr Adeeb and the businessman Naguib Sawiris, with a funny comment.
Alaa published a response to Sawiris’s tweet, which also included a response from Adeeb, including a video clip of a scene from one of the ancient Egyptian plays, through which he indicates his happiness with the argument.
Alaa’s intervention came following a commentator asked him to record his opinion on the exchange of accusations between Sawiris and Adeeb.
Sawiris had interacted with a picture showing a number of Egyptian media figures, including Amr Adib and Mustafa Bakri, each of them carrying a drum, referring to their accusation of drumming for the regime, and wrote a comment on the picture saying: “There is one missing one.”
Which necessitated a response from a writer, in which he said, “We did not gain from drumming as much as you gained from your drumming, Najeeb. It is possible that our drumming had votes, but your drumming had towers and dollars. What a loss, I am surprised.”
