Los New York Yankees They continue to strengthen their bullpen for the 2023 Major League season and this Friday it emerged that they signed the former pitcher from the Boston Red SoxTyler Danish.
The Yankees gave Danish a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training, where he will have to prove he can make up manager Aaron Boone’s bullpen.
The 28-year-old Danish appeared in 32 games for Boston last season, posting a 5.13 ERA with 32 strikeouts and 12 walks in 40.1 innings of work in the majors. At the Double-A and Triple-A divisions, he posted a 4.09 earned run average with 15 fanouts and 8 walks in 11 innings.
The law began his career at the MLB with the Chicago White Sox in 2016, but in his three years in the organization he posted a 4.85 ERA in just 13 innings of work in the big tent.
Danish will have the opportunity to redeem himself in the Yankees and stay in a division in which he already pitched in 2022. The Bronx team does not guarantee him a place in the big team, but he might well be called at any time to start the season in Triple A.
