Mumbai: Despite being included in the T20I series once morest Sri Lanka, Malayali player Sanju Samson was left out of the ODI squad which was quite unexpected. Criticisms were also raised once morest the omission of the player who had performed well in ODIs whenever he got a chance.
But new reports suggest that even though the selectors wanted to include Sanju in the ODI squad, he was left out at the behest of captain Rohit Sharma. This was reported by ‘Cricket Addict’ citing close sources.
KL The selectors decided to include Sanju in the team instead of Rahul. But the report says that captain Rohit Sharma suggested that Sanju is not needed in ODIs and Rahul is enough, and then Sanju was dropped from the team.
