Beirut – “Al-Quds Al-Arabi”: Before this year turned its last pages, Lebanese actor Fadi Mitri turned with him the last page of his life and left following suffering from cancer that lasted regarding two months.
During the Lebanese war, Mitri immigrated to Luxembourg, his mother’s country, where he worked on French television, and participated in a number of French films, most notably “Napoleon” and Les Misérables. After his return to Lebanon, he participated in many Lebanese TV series, and the audience got to know him in the character of “Rustom Effendi” in the series “And the Sun Shone”, where he caught the attention of the artistic and popular community, who was impressed by his role, and he was assigned other roles, including the role of the French colonel in the series “Prince of the Night”, to be repeated. After that, Subha played roles in “Al-Haram”, “Seconds”, “Kol Al-Hub Kol Al-Gharam”, “The Quay of Strangers”.
This year, Lebanon bid farewell to a number of art stars, most notably: Maestro Ihsan Al-Mundhir, artist and director Romeo Lahoud, artist Sami Clark, artist George Al-Rassi, actor Joseph Abboud Mukhtar Al-Haiba, actor Pierre Chamoun, captain of the Zajal Poets in Lebanon, George Abu Anton.
