Lee Ki-young, who killed the taxi driver and the woman he lived with, was treating his hand at the hospital when he was arrested.
He was injured while arguing with strangers early in the morning on the day of the arrest, and he said that he showed off his wealth while drunk and asked if he might kill people if he worked together.
CCTV footage was obtained at the time.

A restaurant in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, around 4:30 a.m. on Christmas Day, five days following the taxi driver was murdered.
Kiyoung Lee, permed and dyed and wearing glasses, enters with five young men, takes a credit card out of her wallet, and hands it to one.
Lee Ki-young and the men saw each other for the first time that day.
The men say that Lee Ki-young approached them at another bar and offered to pay for food and buy meat for them.
Sitting cross-legged with a smile on her face, Lee Ki-young gesticulates without hesitation and leads the conversation by pouring a drink.

“I gave you my name and phone number. Save it as Ki-young hyung while giving me your phone number. He talked to us like this…”
The men said that Lee Ki-young showed off at a drinking party that day, “I have 8 buildings and a lot of money, would you like to work together?” and asked, “Can you kill people?”

“You asked me if I might do everything you asked me to do if I gave you money.
After eating for regarding 30 minutes, Lee Ki-young stumbles out of the restaurant.
Lee Ki-young, who was having a conversation with the men, suddenly punches a man in the face.
When the hit man grabs Lee Ki-young by the collar and moves to try to talk, Lee Ki-young starts attacking the opponent with his head.
As the men respond, Lee Ki-young, who fell to the floor, continues to fight with the men even following getting hurt and falling.
When the men felt strange and tried to break up, Lee Ki-young stopped them and said, “I will follow you until the end and kill you.”
A few hours later, following receiving a report that Lee Ki-young’s body was found in the closet, the police tracked her movements and secured CCTV footage from the restaurant.

“(The police) said he was a murder suspect. Then, following watching CCTV for regarding an hour, he said that the suspect was located and then left…”
During the police investigation, Lee Ki-young stated, “I got into a fight with someone and received treatment.”
