During a round table on Revolt TV, Michelle Obama spoke at length regarding her not always obvious family life. Married to the President of the United States, Michelle explained that she had trouble supporting him for many years. Despite her love for Barack Obama, Michelle had a few lows following her wedding.
“People think I’m mean for saying that: it’s like, for 10 years, I mightn’t stand my husband. And guess when it happened? When the children were smallshe confesses, explaining that it is difficult to combine the education of children and a busy schedule. And for 10 years, trying to build our careers and, you know, worrying regarding school and who’s doing what and what, I was like, it doesn’t even matter!“
She then gives her feelings regarding her years of marriage where the most important thing is not to calculate. “Guess what ? Marriage is not 50/50, never, never. There are times when I am 70, he is 30. There are times when he is 60, 40, but we have been married for 30 years. I’d take 10 bad years instead of 30 – that’s just the way you look at it.“
She also explains that her children did not make it easy for her, especially when Barack became president. “Children are terrorists. They have requirements. They do not speak. They are irrational. They are in need. And you love them. And so you can’t blame them, can you? . . . So you turn that anger on each other“, concludes Michelle Obama.
