CSKA Colombian midfielder Jorge Carrascal declared PrimerTiempo.co, that he is not sure regarding continuing to play for the Russian club, as he would like to play in European competitions.

Carrascal joined CSKA in July, signing a contract until the summer of 2026. This season, he has five goals and six assists in 18 games.

“I am very happy in Russia. Now I don’t know if I will stay or leave, but I enjoyed my time there,” said Carrascal.

The Colombian admitted that he was worried regarding the inability of CSKA to play in European competition. “I would like to play somewhere else where you can play in the Europa League or the Champions League,” said the midfielder.

According to Carrascal, he does not yet have concrete information regarding possible options for continuing his career, his agent is doing this. “I hope that following the New Year holidays they will tell me what to do next,” the footballer said.

Russian national teams and clubs have been suspended from competitions under the auspices of FIFA and UEFA since February.

CSKA is fifth in the RPL standings with 29 points in 17 matches.
