Dario Giusepponi he is 37 years old. He is from Rosario and currently works at the waste collection company of Rosario with his cart and broom, in charge of the Plaza de la Independencia sector.

At the beginning of December he graduated as a doctor at the National University of Rosario. for 11 years studied and worked at the same time.

Counted in the coffee table that his desire to study medicine started in 2004, but he mightn’t really start because he didn’t pass the entrance exam. Years later he started working as a street sweeper and, in 2011, he was given the chance to start his dream career.

“I started when I was 26 or 27 years old. After a lot of effort, I finally achieved what I wanted and graduated. Unfortunately, my father is no longer with me to share this, but my mother is very happy with my achievement,” Darío told Chain 3.

He explained that he must have missed many birthdays and gatherings because the times between work and study were complicated. In any case, he is convinced that medicine is a career that he likes very much and he assures that a person should study what he likes.

Darío works six hours a day, but the main problem with the study was that the university did not have a morning or followingnoon shift, rather they were random hours. However, the union of waste collectors supported him at all times so that he might continue with his studies.

“When the leader of the union, Marcelo Pipy Andrada found out that I was studying, he supported me from the first moment. When my schedules overlapped, They have helped me with the days of work. Many people who work in other areas do not have that possibility,” he said.

Darío is still not aware that he has already graduated and is a doctor. “The neighbors have seen me on TV and they have all congratulated me. I am 37 years old and I am no longer a kid. It is always good to resume studies of what one likes. In fact, my coworkers told me that I honor them.”

The doctor revealed his passion for cardiology from the different practices he did throughout his degree.

Lastly, regarding the salary he earns as a collector and what he would earn as a doctor, Darío clarified: “I did not study the race for money, the I studied for passion. I did it because I like it. In the case of the union, everything is regularized, we have accompaniment and those things make it work in a better way”.
