Because of cancer and Corona … stars left our world in 2022

Successive artistic shocks suffered by the Egyptian artistic community with the departure of a large number of art stars over the past months, to leave with their bodies and leave behind a great artistic legacy.

The first to leave this year was the singer Ahmed Al-Hajjar, brother of Ali Al-Hajjar. He passed away on January 4th suddenly, when he was sitting in his house watching TV, but his family was surprised by the death, which was a great shock to everyone.

After that, the actress Maha Abu Auf passed away following suffering from lung cancer, but she did not announce her illness, and no one discovered it until following her departure, when the Actors Syndicate, Ashraf Zaki, announced this.

She even decided to hide the matter from her colleagues, during the filming of her artwork, as she was receiving questions regarding her health and the reasons for her pale appearance, but she was reassuring everyone regarding her condition.

This year witnessed the departure of the artist, Aida Abdel Aziz, at the age of 92, following a long struggle with illness, as she was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease in her last years.

The death of her husband caused her severe suffering, and the deterioration of her health, which was revealed by her son, as she moved away from acting and remained in her home until her death.

The Egyptian theater lost one of its most important symbols this year, director Jalal Al-Sharkawy, who died as a result of infection with the Corona virus, which was announced by his daughter, Abeer Al-Sharkawy.

The late director presented the play “The School of Rioters”, which is his most prominent work ever, and he also had other works, including “The Constitution of Our Masters” and “Atiyah the Terrorist”.

Cancer caused the departure of the Egyptian artist, Hisham Selim, in a shocking surprise to everyone, as he disappeared over the past months, and he never spoke regarding his health ordeal, nor did he communicate with his colleagues, and he remained in contact with a very small circle until his departure.

The Corona virus was the cause of the death of the Egyptian artist, Ahmed Halawa, as he was admitted to the hospital and remained inside it until the death was announced, in light of severe suffering from the complications of the virus.

Halawa was subjected to more than one rumor regarding his departure, to the point that prompted him to go out on a live broadcast with his daughter to deny everything, but he was very tired, and the virus eventually overcame him.

This year witnessed the departure of the artist, Samir Sabry, following suffering from heart disease, as he entered the hospital and stayed there for a long time in order to perform complex surgery, but he did not succumb to the disease, and he was keen to record the episodes of his radio program inside the hospital, as he was communicating with everyone.

Cancer returned to claim lives once more, as Zaki Fateen Abdel-Wahhab died due to suffering from this disease, as he underwent a long journey of treatment, but he was isolated in the last days until death occurred.

They were not the only ones who invited us this year, as they were joined by the artist, Rajaa Hussein, whose death was caused by aging diseases, and the Egyptian artist, Sami Fahmy, who became famous through his participation in the series “The Story of Mizu”, died.
