NEW YORK — One person was killed and three others injured following a quadruple shooting in the Bronx on Wednesday night, police said.
Gunshots erupted around 6:30 p.m. near the corner of East Tremont Avenue and Southern Boulevard in the West Farms neighborhood, according to police.
It was not immediately clear what led to the shooting, which police say occurred at a vigil, but four people in total were injured. One person died as a result of their injuries, while three others were injured. The injured are expected to survive.
An investigation is ongoing.
