Rabat – Elements of the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ), in coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrived on Wednesday morning, under the supervision of the King’s Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Rabat, to locate the place of burial of human bones inside the ruins of an abandoned house in the region of “Boukhnouz” (suburb of the city of Al Aroui), which served as a shelter for extremist elements.
A joint press release from the DGST and the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicates that the field operations and the scientific search procedures carried out by the crime scene experts, in collaboration with the Office of Hygiene, National Promotion employees and representatives of local authorities, under the direct supervision of the Deputy Public Prosecutor of the King in Nador, helped to extract the remains of human bones suspected of being linked to an intentional homicide committed in 1999.
The location of the burial place of these human bones comes within the framework of the judicial investigation which was carried out by the BNPJ following suspicions in connection with an intentional homicide of which a person disappeared in 1999 under suspicious circumstances. and linked to extremist criminal motives, it is specified.
A doctor from the Office of Hygiene in Nador and a chief doctor at the Hassani Hospital in the same city were thus mandated and went to the place of discovery of the remains of these human bones, adds the same source, indicating that experts from the scientific and technical police were mobilized to take DNA samples in order to submit them to the scientific analyzes necessary to establish the identity of the victim.
