The natives, most of them, proud of their kingdoms, tribes and ethnic groups, look, look, look, and without a glimpse, they don’t know where their eyes are fixed. Even so, they strain their eyes, once once more, they do not see the horizon, nor the signs of freedom, democracy, equity, in any corner of today, which is the future of millions of poor people, who hope for three meals a day, in one day in which the regime is capable of poetizing twelve, patriotic and republican.
Por William Tonet
O month is December! It carries euphoria, madness, exacerbated consumerism, joy for a few who spend millions of dollars on millions of poor people, staying on street corners, sidewalks, viaducts, fed in daylight, with food from containers or rubbish heaps.
The engineering of hunger transforms the spines, bones, mush remains, leftovers, into a gigantic Christmas tree, so big that it covers the stomach cribs, of boys, young people, women and old people, for a few more hours, days and weeks. … Never, never, like in the last five years, have so many women and children “climbed” into garbage containers to feed themselves…
Unfortunately, to our collective disgrace, instead of showing solidarity and revulsion towards extreme poverty, the executive rejoices with false statistical numbers of stability, but of being only in the ministerial pantries and kitchens, while in the statistics of the opposite side (poor) , the graphic presents a spiral of sadness, misery, hunger, unemployment experienced by millions who cannot have a meal a day…
Me, you, them, we, all, dreamed of hearing, at least, from the President of the Republic, legally sworn in on September 15, 2022 (by the President of the Constitutional Court, Laurinda Cardoso, member of the MPLA political bureau), who from on December 25, 2022, the objectification of the poor would end, becoming the center of the Budget, with the right to three meals, albeit basic, a day.
I read deception.
João Lourenço, once once more, opted for the law of insensitivity and force, investing, from Washington, millions and millions of dollars, in American weapons, in supermarkets of faith and in pastors, evangelically, committed to satan, corruption and popular misery.
This time, it remains for the poor to have the resilience to face the evil policy, mobilizing intellectuals, revolutionary parties, indigenous Catholic priests and bishops, still the majority (religion), which Islam allows, to continue to be so in Angola, to stop the law of injustice, discrimination, corruption and the International Monetary Fund, which controls economic sovereignty, dominated at 99.9% by the new colonialists, under the guise of foreign investors.
At the end of the year, the picture is dantesque and for the MPLA there is no other solution because, with power conquered, with the sub-reptation of the CNE (National Electoral Commission) and the Constitutional Court, João Lourenço does not abdicate.
More so, with the growth of an army of sycophants, who surreptitiously try to temper minds, for the “contra legis” imposition of an elastic band aimed at perpetuating the Holder of Executive Power, through constitutional revision, changing the number 2 of article 113 of the CRA: “Each citizen may serve up to two terms as President of the Republic”.
It is this country that transports a December/22, vertiginously, in the opposite direction, the lianas of justice, impartiality, tolerance, forgiveness and conciliation, which will embrace, in the turbulence, 2023.
PACIFICATION OR WAY TO FIRE
O bewilderment hovers. The air is polluted. The country sails to the taste of umbilical tantrums, when humility should cover the clouds. Angola is, despite some prizes that are said to be bought and the rhetoric of combating corruption, more to please the Western community, it is seen as a continental and international pariah.
The remoteness of the region, whether due to COVID, the only country that followed Europe by cutting air links with South Africa and other African countries and the purchase of corn from Argentina, when it might have done so in Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, etc. .
The executive is not well, his economic policy, “dog” to the IMF, serves Western interests of subjugating Angola, to divest itself of its economy, ordering it to sell public companies, lands, mines, airports, ports, everything to the big capital.
This has direct damage by placing millions of Angolans in unemployment and starvation, who are deprived of the dream of being free and independent, in the face of the harmful and malicious neoliberal economic program.
João Lourenço’s bet on gender begins to be questioned, whether it is due to the competence or submission of women to the “boss” considered “bad”.
The two vice-presidents do not have much notoriety in the party sectors (MPLA vice-president – Luísa Damião) and in the Executive (vice-president of the Republic – Elsa Costa).
The latter, to show more consideration than its predecessor, has a budget of more than 7 billion Kwanzas, once morest just under 3 billion, which Bornito de Sousa had, “comradely” humiliated and discriminated once morest.
In the judiciary, Laurinda Cardoso, member of the political bureau of the MPLA is the president of the Constitutional Court, in the Court of Auditors is Exalgina Gamboa, who presides. In the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira chairs the body.
There is talk at the Attorney General’s Office of the intention of nominating a woman, in order to hasten, under the weight of psychological pressure, to accuse at any cost, the enemies of the system, by the way, mostly, the MPLA, each time with the most pinched by a corrupt party, denounced by the president himself.
Moreover, there is still the armored accusation that the bodies of the Presidency of the Republic, with the Security House at the head, have a secret budget, which corrupts everything and everyone…
In addition, many of these resources, coming from public companies: SONANGOL and ENDIAMA, leak to the MPLA, which demands more and more funds for its implementation in the large provinces, with emphasis on Luanda. The money is distributed according to criteria of proportionality regarding the size of the municipalities, the CAP’s and the churches, mostly evangelical and Muslim, linked to the ideology of the MPLA.
It is time for humility and unity for all lovers of freedom, to overcome the barriers of discrimination and oppression of the majority and to put an end to the serious distortions and immoralities that violate constitutional foundations, such as transparency, impersonality, morality among others.
The regime’s practices, not changing, threaten a conflict, in 2023, between the various powers; party, executive, legislative, judicial, capable of slipping into society.
The muscular action of the MPLA president and holder of the Executive Power, initiated, in this second mandate, once morest party comrades; Bornito de Sousa and Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, following the latter left the portfolios, far from indicating strength, demonstrates a fragility, capable of slipping into ruptures capable of hindering both internal unity and future support for the leader.
It was not a good solution, at the end of the year, already loaded with yet another humiliation for Augusto Tomás (MPLA), when he saw parole rejected, without reasonable legal reasons.
Finally, the unsubstantiated freezing of Isabel dos Santos’ actions, in several countries, indicates a “most mortium” persecution of her father. It was necessary to know the “quantum” Isabel squandered the State, without which, whether you like Dos Santos’ eldest daughter or not, we cannot applaud legal injustices and barbarities. After all, João Lourenço promised, in 2017, to put an end to what he called excrescence and high corruption, but today we see the opposite with the distribution of funds stolen from the State to be divided, with the support of a spurious law, between prosecutors, judges and politicians.
A true hymn to bargaining!
