Many gamers are hoping for a Pro model of the Nintendo Switch next year. After all, some titles already have problems on the current model. Of course, this is not always due to the hardware alone, but an upgrade can’t hurt either. Despite many rumors of an announcement next year, the Switch Pro project is said to have been completely stopped.
The hope for a Pro model is fading
Digital Foundry reports from the Switch Pro in their Direct Weekly format on YouTube. According to the tech experts, Nintendo’s management is said to have decided once morest such a Pro version. Instead, the company prefers to focus on a real successor.
But here too there is sobering news, because it looks like this successor should appear in 2024 at the earliest. Digital Foundry refers to several game developers as sources – specific names are not mentioned.
The successor model should come up with 4K resolution and stronger components. Whether there is backward compatibility is still in the stars. Hopefully by then the console will be strong enough to avoid bumpy starts like Pokemon Crimson and Crimson.
