Ayman Al-Rifai, legal advisor and former head of the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee in the Saudi Football Association, explained that Muhammad Kanno’s participation in front of Al-Nasr was correct following the exhaustion of his sentence.
Al-Rifai revealed during his meeting with “In the Goal”: The disciplinary punishment during the season stops, but the opposite is in the event that it is sports and the penalty is sports.
He added: The period between the two seasons, Kanu’s penalty stopped, and the penalties within the season are included in disciplinary, not sports, penalties. Kanu had exhausted his sentence between 26 to 28 October last, and his participation is considered valid.
Al-Rifai concluded: The Saudi Sports Arbitration Center looks into any case filed and leaves the Supreme Arbitration Tribunal to decide whether the case deserves consideration in form and then consider the subject.
