Tensions between Serbia and Kosovo continue to rise. After shots were fired during Serbian protests in Kosovo, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic put troops on “highest combat readiness”. Kosovo accuses Serbia of “criminal activities”.
Serbia has deployed self-propelled howitzers on the border with Kosovo.
tsf. /(Bloomberg/dpa) Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic ordered his troops to be on “highest combat readiness” on Monday. The aim of the order to the army and other security forces is “to protect all Serb citizens in Kosovo and to prevent pogroms and terror against Serbs,” Defense Minister Milos Vucevic said in a statement. The security forces were placed under the command of Chief of Staff Milan Mojsilovic.
