The upgrade of the Home app was launched on December 13 with iOS 16.2 and macOS Ventura 13.1. An Apple spokesperson told The Verge that the company has discovered a bug that would prevent users from sharing smart home devices in the Home app. In the process of fixing the bug, the option to upgrade to the new Home architecture will be temporarily removed, and users who have already upgraded will not be affected.
