Acknowledgment of abuse
Menna revealed that the drugs were intended for abuse, not trafficking. Accordingly, the charge of trafficking in narcotic substances was not charged, and the record line was charged with abuse, and Menna Shalaby admitted to the investigation authorities that she only smoked vape and did not use any narcotic substances.
The accused collapsed in front of the investigation authorities, confirming that her travel to the Emirates was due to a new movie being shown to her, and she also explained that her travel to Greece was due to her birthday.

Investigations confirmed that the seizures that were found inside the bags of the artist, Menna Shalaby, at the airport, were green plant parts, suspected of containing narcotic essence, and 2 multi-colored bags containing green plant parts suspected of containing a narcotic substance, and a bag inside. Green vegetable parts suspected of containing a narcotic substance, orange plastic with green vegetable parts suspected of containing a narcotic substance, as well as two rolled cigarettes containing green vegetable parts suspected of containing a narcotic substance, one of which is placed in a blue box, and the other is placed in a box White, ten grams of narcotic substances, as well as an electronic cigarette without a white box, containing a yellow liquid suspected of being narcotic.
The artist’s trial
The investigation authorities asked the accused regarding their connection to these seized materials, and they replied: I do not know anything regarding them other than a box of green makeup and the cigarettes that I had were not the ones that were exposed to me now, and they tasted like berries. By examining the passport of the accused artist, Menna Shalaby, it was revealed that she had traveled to the UAE, Spain and Greece.
The Cairo Court of Appeal, a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, set a session for next January 5, to start the trial of the actress, Menna Shalaby, before the North Cairo Criminal Court, in the case of accusing her of obtaining the essence of narcotic hashish with the intention of using.
Criminal trial
The Public Prosecution Office had referred Menna Shalaby to criminal trial before the Criminal Court at the conclusion of the investigations conducted with her, as it charged her with obtaining the substance of narcotic hashish with the intention of using it in cases other than those authorized by law. The Public Prosecution stated that the list of evidence includes the testimony of 5 witnesses to the incident, the findings of the police investigations, and what was proven by the surveillance cameras recordings at the place where they were seized at Cairo International Airport, in addition to what resulted in the chemical laboratory examination of the seizures found in their possession.
